AV Designer

One of our most reputable clients in Melbourne are seeking an Audio-Visual Designer to join their team in a newly created role. 

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, customer-focused AV consultancy and design services to a diverse range of technology stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed AV Technical Briefs to align with AV standards and strategies.
• Collaborate with various technical teams to develop AV requirements and provide recommendations for new initiatives.
• Translate AV user requirements into well-designed solutions that balance technical needs, user needs, time constraints, and technology choices.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct ongoing analysis and reassessments of AV solutions to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage AV documentation resources, including schematics, equipment lists, and operational manuals.
• Stay current on industry trends and vendor technologies.

• Significant experience in a technical AV environment with large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated AV installation and design experience, ideally in a learning and teaching environment.
• Familiarity with Crestron, AMX, and Extron is desirable.
• Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

• Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline, or proven work experience in AV or related fields. ITIL experience is desirable
