About the Role
This is a hands-on
leadership role where you'll oversee day-to-day sales operations, drive revenue growth, and work closely with the owner before he transitions back to the commercial side of the business. You’ll be leading a team of four, ensuring they are motivated, well-trained, and delivering exceptional service.
With direct competitors within a 5km radius, this role requires someone who understands how to differentiate and sell value over price.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and mentoring a team of four, ensuring top-tier customer service and sales performance
- Driving sales across carpet, timber, and vinyl flooring, maximising revenue and market share
- Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability
- Engaging directly with customers to provide expert advice and close high-value sales
- Working a rotating 11-day fortnight(every second Saturday off, 9–5pm weekdays, 9–4pm Saturdays)
- Proven sales management experience in a competitive retail environment
- A track record of driving revenue growth and outperforming competitors
- Strong leadership and coaching skills – ability to motivate and develop a team
- Experience in carpet sales is essential; knowledge of timber and vinyl is a strong advantage
